5 Star Pad Cutout Options

We offer a variety of options to fit the specific needs of your horse or mule.

5 Star Pads are available with optional cutouts.  The Cinch Cutout is available with the mule or horse contour and allows for the wool in only the cinch area to be cutout, and the Leg Cutout allows for both the leg and cinch area to be cutout for closer contact.  The Flex Fit Cutout in the wither area elimates pressure on high withered horses. The Extreme Mule Back Cutout is perfect for creating a relief area that will eliminate top pressure of the pad on extreme mule backs. The Slit Gullet is a great option for mules and flat backed horses. The No Gullet Hole option continues the contour up and over the wither area. It is a great option for high withered horses.

5 Star Experiences

Debbie Ackerman Hershey

I chose 5 Star pads for my horses because wool felt is tried and true, the pads fit a variety of body, and i have never seen a dry spot on any of my horses since switching to 5 Star pads years ago. The pads can be cleaned, and they are made to last! Great product that I highly recommend!

I had my saddle taken in to check fit and they recommended your company. This contoured his back so well it improved how my saddle fit his back. We haven't had problems since! I love that I got to customize my pad making it unique to me. Thanks for making such a quality product!

My Husband recently bought me a 5 Star saddle pad for Christmas. I could tell as soon as I pulled it out the box it was very different from any other saddle pads I had purchased. A good different!! I'm anxiously awaiting to buy me a liner to start riding it! Thank you 5 star for my Christmas!

I choose to use 5 Star pads exclusively because the comfort they provide is unbeatable. My horse looks forward to being ridden & remains happy, focused, & willing through the entire ride. It is unmatched in reliability, performance, & attractiveness. I'll be a lifelong customer & advocate for 5

In 2009, Shoii shattered the knee joint of his right hind leg, rendering unable to flex the joint once it healed. Although his body was a little beat-up, his heart certainly was not and I could tell that it was still very important to him to "take me out for a ride."
