This half pad offers the fashion appeal of fleece without the additional cost of a fully lined fleece pad. Our raised wither profile accommodates even the sharpest of withers. Our customizable spine leather marries the contoured 100% Virgin Wool Felt for impeccable saddle fit and maximum protection for both horse and rider’s backs during training and showing. It’s ideal for stock and custom saddles and gives optimal shock absorption without affecting rider feel or saddle fit. This added shock absorption improves the horse’s comfort, general way of going as well, and the rider’s equitation. Our 100% pure virgin wool felt wicks away moisture, cleans up easily, and provides non-slip properties for maximum stability. Our pads are durable with many still in use after 15+ years! Hand-made in the USA! Do not machine wash.

The 5 star pad conforms great to my horses back and gives much needed relief on his withers. I love how soft but very durable they are and they are so easy to clean. I had tried other types of felt pads but he was very unhappy and as soon as I put this one on he's very comfortable and relaxed.

I love the 5 star pads. They are the only pads I use now. I have had some of the more so called popular pads but they do not compare to the 5star.. I will not use any different pad. I actually keep an extra in my trailer. Easy to clean and always looks nice.
